April 18 - Royal Botanical Gardens Day 1 Recap
My first day at the Royal Botanical Gardens was a boatload of fun. Hanging out with some backyard monsters, holding a tarantula for the first time, learning that wine corks come from an actual cork tree (3rd photo below) and meeting 'Hercules' the oldest tree in existence! I am back at the gardens tomorrow, going on a hike where I am sure more fun shenanigans will ensue. Congrats to Flickr user 'eazym' who won the BustedTees.com shirt giveaway of the day for commenting on the photo of me holding a Chilean rose-haired tarantula.
