Earth Day 2010 with Eartha The Sea Turtle

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!! I hope you're doing something to benefit our beautiful planet today? We could live on Mars and it would suck, so just remember that. Anyway, Eartha The Sea Turtle is back today to help us spread the good word about taking care of this place we call home. Make an extra effort today to do something green and help preserve our tiny speck of the galaxy.

How about a giveaway today to celebrate Earth and Eartha? Leave a comment below with what you're doing on Earth Day. I didn't do anything to harm the earth today; I just walked in the field and enjoyed being out side. Wonderful weather. The grass is greening up, so good to see after the brown of winter. Jan

I spent the day with my 4 year-old daughter. We were working on some home-improvement projects at my parents' house. As needed, she carried things to the recycle bins. Also, she suggested some creative repurposing of things that were going to go in the trash. An empty roll of masking tape is now a bracelet!

Okay Iwhat I really did for Earth day was learn about Eartha ... won a book about Eartha and used less electricity by not having too many lights on... oh and spread the word about Eartha... that's a pretty fun filled Earth Day if I do say so myself...:)

We spent pary of our day recycling, and doing our part. This evening were going to see the movie "Oceans" thanks for a chance!

we are going to plant some trees in our yard and work on our garden, maybe take a walk or a hike in the woods and down to the beach. hangin' out in the yard outdoors all day!

Today's my Dad's birthday as well, so we always say he's "older than dirt." At 70, that joke is finally getting closer to the truth ;^) Reduced, reused, recycled all day, as usual!

We, the science teachers, wore green wigs with chip bag bows and our "Get Your Green On!" t-shirts. We had a fun day. I wish you could see some of the entries. Green! I will email pictures.

We had a huge "Make Art Not Trash" art show at our school. We gave our students 1 day notice and got 133 entries. WOW! We were impressed for a small school.

My husband and I carpool all the time. We also recycle everything we can and we try to avoid using harsh chemicals when we clean.

I have 2 little ones, Kaleb and Anna, so we made Earth Day a blast! We were outside enjoying the outdoors and the Earth. We planted flowers and started our veggie garden. We practiced our 3pt shot w/ recycling. My son really enjoyed that. We cleaned our yard and went thru our clothes to donate insted of pitching them. A fun day!

I'm going to celebrate with Crabby McCraberson, Sally McSalmonson, and Roger McTunatown. We're going to swim, float, maybe swim some more.... then some floating. We may get a snack, and then give some divers some photo ops. :)

For earth day, I'm not farting because methane gas can damage the ozone. Low fiber diet and no carbonated drinks for me today :)
