HRMDirect is a Social Recruiting Software and I'm at ERE Expo in San Diego
I don't know how much experience you guys have in the recruiting or "talent management" space, but I'm wearing a shirt for HRMDirect.com today. HRMDirect is a pioneer in the recruiting space with their social recruiting software and application tracking system. They use real people (social!!!) to help facilitate the process of finding qualified applicants and retain them with some secret sauce behind the scenes. HRMDirect wasn't interested in sharing the secrets with me, lame right? Just kidding...
And as the title of this post says, I'm in beautiful San Diego, California until this Sunday. I'm attending ERE Expo with Sarah White, of HRMDirect, who you'll be able to meet on live video. Sarah is the Chief Strategy Officer at HRMDirect and I'll be asking her all the tough recruiting industry focused questions today.

Last Day of SXSW, Heading to San Diego and it's Greystone Greeters Today
SXSW has been a freakin blast but like all good things it has to come to an end. I'm heading out this afternoon to San Diego, but not before meeting some great new people as well as finally meeting some social media people in person.
Greystone Greeters is the shirt of the day and we LOVE our interactive, online video ads. What better way to engage your customers then to greet them the second they visit your website! Day 4 of SXSW and it's National Pi Day for pizone.org
It's National Pi Day today! Are you as excited about Pi (π) as we are? You know Pi right? 3.14 something something something, on forever. Did you know how much stuff revolves around Pi?
- Pi is never-ending
- It is irrational, random number that doesn’t repeat or loop - 1.2411 trillion digits of pi have been calculated by a computer
- MIT emails acceptance letters on Pi Day
- MIT Cheer is: Cosine, secant, tangent, sine, 3.14159!
- You can calculate your hat size by measuring the circumference of your head, then dividing by Pi and rounding off to the nearest one-eighth of an inch
- Only 20 digits are necessary to calculate the circumference of the earth down to a fraction of an inch. Only 39 for the known universe down to an electron (this one boggles my mind)
Noelle Filippenko and her husband Alex Filippenko (National Professor of the Year 2006) have taken upon themselves to promote National Pi Day! Happy Birthday Sabrina, GO Team Hargrave and Day 3 from SXSW
Today is March 13th, and it is a special day. Jason finally asked me to write a blog post!!! I don't want this to sound like I'm complaining, because I would never complain on Sabrina's birthday. In fact, I'm kinda happy that I've only been asked to write 1 blog post in the 72 days I've been wearing shirts for a living. But, I did think you needed to know. Now, back on to business. Or as Sabrina's husband Chris would say it, Biz-Nass!
Chris is a buddy of mine from college, and the captain of Team Hargrave Alaska. Chris has always been WAY more athletic than me, and I think that's why he's married and I'm not. He met his beautiful wife Sabrina playing Coed-Softball, and now they're on Volleyball, Soccer, Dodgeball, and most importantly Basketball teams. I won't let them play Kickball anymore, you should know why!

Seeing as how I'm in Austin, TX for SXSW it would be very hard to play Pictionary Sunday this weekend. Day 1 of SXSW with CK Golf Solutions
I made it! After a couple hours of flight delays last night I finally made it to Austin, TX. We're rocking CK Golf Solutions (@ckgolfsolutions) today and talking about golf business, management, social media and other solutions. Jeff & Tara Ciecko are in their 3rd year of operation out of Vancouver after putting in years of experience at golf courses all around British Columbia. If you're business revolves around golf and you're dipping your toesies into social media, give CK Golf Solutions a holler!
Nothing big on the agenda today besides waiting in line for my interactive pass for SXSW. If nothing else, that ought to make for some interesting video since I won't be near a golf course today.

It's always fun writing these blog posts, but even more so when I keep getting to write about companies that I wore shirts for last year!
